The tunnels at Loyd Tunnels actually did contain a love nook, beyond the plumbing showroom, just before the portrait gallery, and the refrigerators.

"Don't ask questions," Jody had said when they found it. "Just help me out of this thing-- now!"

The humid little alcove was lush with pillows and soft light. Pink and purple tapestries covered the walls, and Jody and Chris spent giggly hours there, suspending disbelief.
